Getting Started Connecting Another CD Player If you have a Sony CD player equipped with the CONTROL A1 jack and the command mode of that player can be set to CD 3, you can control that player as the second player with this unit. After connecting this unit and an amplifier, follow the procedure below. Be sure to turn off the power of each player before making this connection. COMMAND MODE To LINE OUT CDP-CE515/C460Z What cords will I need? • Audio cord (1) (Use the cord supplied with the player to be connected.) • CONTROL A1 cord (1) (not supplied) 1 Connect the players with an audio cord (see also "Hookups" on page 5). CDP-CE515/C460Z 2ND CD LINE IN OUT L R CDP-CX200, etc. LINE OUT L R To 2ND CD IN To S-LINK/ CONTROL A1 To an AC outlet 2 Connect the players with a CONTROL A1 cord. CDP-CE515/C460Z S-LINK CONTROL A1 CDP-CX200, etc. CONTROL A1 To audio output CDP-CX200, etc. To CONTROL A1 To an AC outlet To audio input Amplifier For details on this connection, refer to the supplementary "CONTROL-A1 Control System" instructions. 3 Set the COMMAND MODE selector of each player. Set the COMMAND MODE selector of this player to CD 1 or CD 2, and set that of the second player to CD 3.
