Refer to the operating instructions of the accessory for details. •The intelligent accessory shoe has a safety device for fixing the installed accessory securely. To connect an accessory, press down and push it to the end, and then tighten the screw. •To remove an accessory, loosen the screw, and then press down and pull out the accessory. Note on the Carl Zeiss lens Your camcorder is equipped with a Carl Zeiss lens which can reproduce fine images. The lens for your camcorder was developed jointly by Carl Zeiss, in Germany, and Sony Corporation. It adopts the MTF* measurement system for video camera and offers a quality as the Carl Zeiss lens. * MTF stands for Modulation Transfer Function. The value number indicates the amount of light of a subject coming into the lens. 215
