Music Settings To edit music-encoding settings, click the Settings button at the top of the Media Manager for WALKMAN window, and then click the Music button on the left side of the window. Music Settings
To edit music-encoding settings, click the
Settings
button
at the top of the Media Manager for WALKMAN
window, and then click the
Music
button on the left side of the window.

File Type
Choose a setting from the drop-down list to choose whether you want to encode
music in MP3 or AAC format.
Music Target
C hoose a setting from the drop-down list to indicate the target bit rate for
transferring audio files
to your WALKMAN, or choose
Automatic
to allow the
software to determine the appropriate bit rate.
When you choose
Automatic
, the software chooses the standard bit rate that most
closely matches the original file's bit rate.
Always encode music as AAC/MP3
Select this check box if you want to re-encode all music files to the selected file
type before transferring them to your WA LKMA N.
When the check box is not selected, MP3 and AAC files will be transferred without
re-encoding.
Perf orm SensMe music analysis

Select this check box if you want to save extended information about your music
files when music is re-encoded during a
transfer

SensMe information is always added to tracks that you
rip from CD
.
SensMe is a new technology that enhances music tracks with additional metadata
such as mood (happy, sad), beats per minute, or chords.
Not all devices support SensMe technology.
SensMe Music Analysis
Click to analyze the MP3 music files in your music folders and add SensMe
metadata to the files (all folders that are displayed in the PC pane in Music mode
are analyzed).
