Getting Started  FM/AM antennas Find a location and an orientation that provide good reception, and then set up the antennas. Keep the antennas away from the speaker cords, the power cord and the USB cable to avoid picking up noise.  Power Connect the power cord to a wall outlet. If the supplied adaptor on the plug does not fit your wall outlet, detach it from the plug (only for models equipped with an adaptor).  Speakers Connect the speaker cords to the SPEAKERS jacks. Cancelling the automatic demonstration When you first turn on the system, the demonstration screen appears automatically. To turn off the automatic demonstration screen, follow the procedure below. 1 Select "Settings" from the home menu, then press ENTER. 2 Select "Demonstration mode," then press ENTER. The setting screen appears. 3 Press / repeatedly to select "OFF," then press ENTER. Saving power in standby mode This system enters standby mode when you turn off the system using the / button, minimizing the power consumption automatically (power saving mode). However, if "Demonstration mode" has been enabled, the system cannot enter power saving mode. Be sure to turn off demonstration mode to save power in standby mode. Note Be aware that the system cannot enter power saving mode if both "Demonstration mode" and "Auto Standby" (page 97) settings are turned on.  Continued 25GB

Find a location and an orientation that
provide good reception, and then set up
the antennas.
Keep the antennas away from the speaker
cords, the power cord and the USB cable
to avoid picking up noise.
Power
Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.
If the supplied adaptor on the plug does
not fit your wall outlet, detach it from the
plug (only for models equipped with an
adaptor).
Speakers
Connect the speaker cords to the
SPEAKERS jacks.
Cancelling the automatic
demonstration
When you first turn on the system,
the demonstration screen appears
automatically.
To turn off the automatic demonstration
screen, follow the procedure below.

menu, then press ENTER.

then press ENTER.

Note
