Additional Information Troubleshooting Should you encounter a problem with your system, do the following: 1 Make sure the power cord and speaker cords are connected correctly and firmly. 2 Find your problem in the troubleshooting checklist below and take the indicated corrective action. 3 If the system still does not operate properly, reset the system (page 95, 96). If the problem persists after doing all of the above, consult your nearest Sony dealer. If the STANDBY indicator flashes Immediately unplug the power cord, and check the following items.  Are you using only the supplied speakers?  Is anything blocking the ventilation hole on the rear of the system? After the STANDBY indicator stops flashing, reconnect the power cord, and turn on the system. If the issue persists, contact your nearest Sony dealer. General The images with Sony illumination appear after you connect the power cord, even though you have not turned on the system.  Turn off the automatic demonstration (page 25). The system does not turn on.  Is the power cord plugged in? It takes some time for the home menu screen to appear when you turn on the system.  This is not a malfunction. The system takes a certain time for readying and displaying the home menu when you turn on the system. Wait for a while and do not attempt to press  again as the system will already be in the process to display the home menu. Additional Information  Continued 85GB

Should you encounter a problem with
