USB Device/Memory Card USB Device/Memory Card Before using the USB device and the memory card with this system You can use the USB device and the memory card with this system. Check the compatible devices that can be used with the system. For details, see "Compatible devices with this system" (page 110). Notes on the USB device  When USB cable connection is necessary, connect the USB device with a USB cable supplied with the device. See the operating instructions supplied with the USB device for details.  Do not connect the system and the USB device through a USB hub. Notes on using a memory card  When using the memory card, make sure to insert the card in the correct orientation.  When inserting the memory card, do not forcibly push it as this could damage the memory card and/or the system.  When you carry or store a memory card, put it in the case supplied with the memory card.  Do not touch the terminal of a card with your hand or a metal object. Notes on using a USB device and memory card  Do not remove the USB device or memory card during playback. Otherwise, data may be corrupted. Sony cannot accept responsibility in the event that recorded data is lost or damaged.  We recommend that you back up important data on the USB device or memory card.  It may take some time before "Reading" appears on the screen depending on the type of USB device or memory card.  The system takes a certain time to display the folder list from when you select the "Music," "Photo" or "Video" content type.  Compatibility with all encoding software cannot be guaranteed. If audio and video files were encoded with incompatible software, those files may produce audio noise, interrupted audio, unsmooth motion of video, or may not play at all.  This system cannot continue playback in the following cases.  When the number of files per folder exceeds 5,000.  When the number of folders on the USB device or memory card exceeds 1,000.  When the number of files on the USB device or memory card exceeds 5,000. These numbers may vary depending on a file and folder structure of your device. Do not save unnecessary folders and files to your device that has audio, video and image files to be played back with the system.  Continued 65GB
