4 Replacement Procedures 4.13 TouchPad 4.13 TouchPad Removing the TouchPad To remove the TouchPad, first remove the top cover, then follow the steps below: 1. Disconnect the TouchPad FFC cables from the TouchPad. 2. Remove two black M2.5x3 screws securing the control button board. Slide and lift it out. 3. Remove three silver M2.5x3 screws securing the TouchPad EMI Shielding. Slide and lift out the TouchPad EMI Shielding. Figure 4-29 Removing the TouchPad Installing the TouchPad To install the TouchPad, follow the steps below and refer to the figures in the preceding section: 1. With the top cover upside down, place the TouchPad, the Track Pad Bracket, and control button board in position. 2. Secure the TouchPad Bracket with three silver M2.5x3 screws. 3.
