3 Tests and Diagnostics 3.29 Thermal Radiation Control Test 3.29 Thermal Radiation Control T est This thermal radiation control test checks the temperature of the CPU and GPU. To execute this test, use the diagnostics disk (thermal radiation control) and follow the procedures below. 1. Turn on the computer and start the Windows. 2. Insert the diagnostic disk for the thermal radiation control test to the USB FDD. 3. Open the [EXPLORE] window and double-click the [THERMAL.bat] file in the diagnostic disk. 4. The input field appears on the screen. Then, input the temperature around the computer and click [OK] button. The thermal radiation control test starts. 5. The test result is displayed 15 minutes later. When the test ends normally, the following message appears in the display. [Status:pass] When an error is found, the following message appears in the display. [Status:CPU:FAIL GPU:FAIL] When the error message appears in the display, there is a possibility of breakage of CPU, GPU or FAN. 3.29 Thermal Radiation Control Test

This thermal radiation control test checks the temperature of the CPU and GPU. To execute this

test, use the diagnostics disk (thermal radiation control) and follow the procedures below.

Turn on the computer and start the Windows.

Insert the diagnostic disk for the thermal radiation control test to the USB FDD.

Open the [EXPLORE] window and double-click the [THERMAL.bat] file in the diagnostic

disk.

The input field appears on the screen. Then, input the temperature around the computer and

click [OK] button. The thermal radiation control test starts.

The test result is displayed 15 minutes later. When the test ends normally, the following

message appears in the display.

[Status:pass]

When an error is found, the following message appears in the display.

[Status:CPU:FAIL GPU:FAIL]

When the error message appears in the display, there is a possibility of breakage of CPU,

GPU or FAN.

Close the test menu to end the thermal radiation control test.
