Basic Operations Removing compact discs To remove the disc, follow the steps below. Do not press the eject button while the computer is accessing the disc drive. Wait for the optical disc indicator to go out before you open the drawer. Also, if the disc is spinning when you open it, wait for it to stop before you remove it. 1. To pop the drawer partially open, press the eject button. Gently pull the drawer out until it is fully opened. ■ In When the drawer pops open slightly, wait a moment to make sure the disc has stopped spinning before pulling the drawer fully open. ■ Turn off the power before you use the eject hole. If the disc is spinning when you open the drawer, it could fly off the spindle and cause injury. 2. The disc extends slightly over the sides of the drawer so you can grasp it. Hold it gently and lift it out. 3. Push the center of the drawer to close it. Press gently until it locks into place. Basic Operations
Removing compact discs
To remove the disc, follow the steps below.
1.
To pop the drawer partially open, press the eject button. Gently pull the
drawer out until it is fully opened.
2.
The disc extends slightly over the sides of the drawer so you can grasp
it. Hold it gently and lift it out.
3.
Push the center of the drawer to close it. Press gently until it locks into
place.
Writing CDs on a CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive
You can use the CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive to write data to CD-R/RW discs.

Before you write or rewrite to CD-R/RW media, read and follow all setup
