4.9 Top Cover 4 Replacement Procedures 4.9 Top Cover Removing the Top Cover Remove the top cover according to the following procedures and Figures 4-17 and 4-18. 1. Turn the computer upside down and remove the following 12 screws: - Twelve M2.5x6 black bind screws M2.5x6 black bind screw M2.5x6 black bind screw M2.5x6 black bind screw Figure 4-17 Removing the screws from the bottom of the computer 2. Turn the computer right side up. 3. Remove one M2.5x4 black flat head screw. 4. Disconnect the touch pad board flat cable from CN11. 5. Release the following 6 latches on the switch cover, in that order: - Three Left latches - Three right latches 6. Lift up the top cover. 4 Replacement Procedures
4.9 Top Cover
Removing the Top Cover
Remove the top cover according to the following procedures and Figures 4-17 and 4-18.
1.
Turn the computer upside down and remove the following 12 screws:
- Twelve M2.5x6 black bind screws

2.
Turn the computer right side up.
3.
Remove one M2.5x4 black flat head screw.
4.
Disconnect the touch pad board flat cable from CN11.
5.
Release the following 6 latches on the switch cover, in that order:
- Three Left latches
- Three right latches
6.
Lift up the top cover.
