VIZIO® VP505XVT1A User Manual 5.3 Parental Control The parental control is a feature which allows the TV viewer to set limitations for viewing channels and movies according to the nature and contents of the programs being received. 5.3.1 DTV / TV Input Parental Control If you want to restrict certain channel and program viewing, you can do this by turning on the Parental Control. Selected programs, movies and channels can then be made available only after an authorized password has been entered and accepted by the TV. When the MENU button is pressed, the On Screen Display (OSD) appears on the PICTURE adjustment page. Press the ◄ or ► button to scroll across to the icon showing the two figures picture. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to highlight the different options under Parental Control menu. The Password must be entered before the TV will continue with Parental settings. The default password set in the factory is 0 0 0 0. If you are going to use the Parental Control feature you should change the password. 5.3.2 Parental Lock Enable Press the ▲ or ▼ button to highlight the Parental Lock Enable option. Press the ◄ or ► button to select it. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to switch between Off and On options. The next screen will display Once the adjustments are completed press the MENU button repeatedly or the EXIT once to exit the OSD completely. Parental Control
The parental control is a feature which allows the TV viewer to set limitations for viewing channels and
movies according to the nature and contents of the programs being received.
5.3.1
DTV / TV Input Parental Control
If you want to restrict certain channel and program viewing, you
can do this by turning on the Parental Control.
Selected
programs, movies and channels can then be made available
only after an authorized password has been entered and
accepted by the TV.
When the
MENU
button is pressed, the On Screen Display
(OSD) appears on the PICTURE adjustment page.
Press the

button to scroll across to the icon showing the

button to highlight the different options under
Parental Control menu.
The Password must be entered before the TV will continue with Parental settings.
The default password
set in the factory is 0 0 0 0.
If you are going to use the Parental Control feature you should change the
password.

Parental Lock Enable
Press the

button to highlight the Parental Lock Enable
option.
Press the

button to select it.
Press the

button to switch between Off and On options.
The next screen will display
Once the adjustments are completed press the MENU button
repeatedly or the EXIT once to exit the OSD completely.
