Creating Original Performances Creating Original Performances Original piano sounds can be easily created on your CP5 or CP50 by configuring the left and right parts and the various blocks that make up Performances. The following procedure can be applied to modify each of these Performance elements while listening to how parameter changes actually affect the sound being produced. In specific terms, the Voice block, Pre-Amplifier block, Modulation Effect block, and Power-Amplifier / Compressor block (CP5 only) are set for the left and right parts; following this, the Performance itself is completed by configuring parameters specific to the left and right parts, the Common Settings area, and the Reverb block; and finally, the Master Compressor and Master Equalizer are adjusted to match the overall sound of your CP5 or CP50 to the environment in which it is being played. NOTE For details on the individual blocks used to build Performances, refer to the Reference Manual pdf document. 1 Select the Performance that you would like to use as the start point for creating your own sound (page 23). NOTICE If you wish to create your Performance within an External Performance memory, the USB flash-memory device containing the data for that Performance memory must first be plugged into your CP5 or CP50. Whenever a USB flash-memory device already containing an External Performance memory is plugged in, that Performance memory will be automatically loaded. Any Performances contained within the stage piano's External Performance memory area at that time will be overwritten. 2 Select the left or right part to be edited by pressing and holding its button (for at least one second). The lamp to the bottom-right of the corresponding Part Volume knob will light up. NOTE Although the part's parameter setting screen will be displayed at this time, no editing of these parameters is yet required. NOTE You can also select the required part by pressing the [- PAGE] and [PAGE 3] buttons while holding down the [EXIT] button. 3 Press the [VOICE] button. The Voice screen will be displayed. Original piano sounds can be easily created on your CP5 or CP50 by configuring the left and right parts and the various
blocks that make up Performances. The following procedure can be applied to modify each of these Performance
elements while listening to how parameter changes actually affect the sound being produced. In specific terms, the

NOTICE
If you wish to create your Performance within an External Performance memory, the USB flash-memory device containing the data
for that Performance memory must first be plugged into your CP5 or CP50. Whenever a USB flash-memory device already
