Handy Performance Features Pitch Controls-Transpose The overall pitch of the instrument (except for the Drum Kit Voices and Sample Voice) can be shifted up or down by a maximum of 1 octave in semitone increments. 1 Press the [TRANSPOSE] button to call up "Transpos" (Function 006). Transpos 00 006 2 Use the dial to set the Transpose value between -12 and +12. Pitch Controls-Fine Tuning The overall tuning of the instrument (except for the Drum Kit Voices) can be shifted up or down between 427.0 Hz and 453.0 Hz in approximately 0.2 Hz increments. The default value is 440.0 Hz. 1 Press the [FUNCTION] button. 2 Use the CATEGORY [] buttons to call up "Tuning" (Function 007). Tuning 007 3 Use the dial to set the Tuning value. 440.0Hz 007 Pitch Controls-the [PITCH BEND] wheel The [PITCH BEND] wheel can be used to add smooth pitch variations to notes you play on the keyboard. Roll the wheel upward to raise the pitch, or downward to lower the pitch. You can change the amount of pitch bend produced by the wheel in the Function Settings (page 66, Function 008). Using Portamento Portamento is a function that creates a smooth transition in pitch from the first note played on the keyboard to the next. Using this function effectively provides even greater expressive nuance to your performance. 1 Press the [FUNCTION] button. 2 Use the CATEGORY [] buttons to call up "Port." (Function 011). Port 011 3 Press the [+/YES] or [-/NO] button to switch the function on or off.
