Handy Performance Features Setting the Portamento time Select from 127 levels of the Portamento time (the time it takes from transitioning one note to another) for the Portamento function. 1 Press the [FUNCTION] button. 2 Use the CATEGORY [] buttons to call up "PortTime" (Function 012). PortTime 012 3 Press the [+/YES] or [-/NO] button to switch the function on or off. NOTE • The default value is set to 64. • In order to set Portamento Time, the Portamento (function number 011) setting must be on. Calling Up Optimum Panel Settings-One Touch Setting (OTS) Select a Song, Style or Riyaz by pressing the [SONG], [STYLE] or [RIYAZ] button, and then select Voice number 000 OTS (page 19). This lets you automatically call up the optimum panel settings such as Voice and tempo for the current Song, Style or Riyaz. Changing the Touch Response of the Keyboard The keyboard of this instrument is equipped with a Touch Response feature that lets you dynamically and expressively control the level of the Voices according to your playing strength. 1 Press the [FUNCTION] button. 2 Use the CATEGORY [] buttons to call up "TouchRes" (Function 010). After a few seconds, the current Touch Response appears. TouchRes 010 Medium 2 010 Current Touch Response 3 Use the dial to select a Touch Response setting between 1 and 4. Touch Response 1 Soft Allows maximum loudness to be produced with relatively light key pressure. 2 Medium Produces a fairly "standard" keyboard response. 3 Hard Requires strong playing to produce high volume. 4 Fixed All notes are produced at the same volume no matter how hard the keyboard is played.
