Installing the Driver • Specifying the output destination of audio and MIDI signals This section explains how to set up Windows 98 to use the UW500. For information on setting up your sequence software, refer to the owner's manual for the software. Setup for audio playback and recording 1. Double-click "Multimedia" in the "Control Panel" to open the Multimedia Properties window. 2. Click the "Audio" tab. 3. Click the "Preferred device" box in "Playback" and select "USB Audio Device." NOTE "USB Audio Device (1)" may appear, depending on the computer. If two or more USB audio devices are connected, the corresponding number appears in parentheses. 4. Click the "Preferred device" box in "Recording" and select "USB Audio Device." 5. Check the "Use only preferred devices" checkbox and click [OK]. 28

Setup for audio playback and recording
1.
Double-click
“Multimedia”
in the
“Control Panel”
to open the Multime-
dia Properties window.

Click the
“Audio”
tab.

Click the “Preferred device” box in

Device.”
