Changing the driver setting (MIDI Patch Screen) • Changing the connection during recording (MIDI IN → PC IN) You can change the I/O assignment of the computer's input port and the UW500's input port. The left column shows the computer's input ports (IN 1-2), and the top column shows the UW500's input ports (1-2). With the default settings, ports with the same number are connected to each other. However, you can change this setting by checking the check boxes. If you check multiple check boxes vertically, a MIDI signal from one input port on the UW500 is distributed to multiple input ports on the computer. If you check multiple check boxes horizontally, MIDI signals from multiple input ports on the UW500 are merged and transmitted to one input port on the computer. NOTE See page 44 for more information on the relationship between the UW500's I/O ports and the port numbers. You can change the I/O assignment of the computer’s input port and the UW500’s
input port. The left column shows the computer’s input ports (IN 1-2), and the top
column shows the UW500’s input ports (1-2). With the default settings, ports with the
same number are connected to each other. However, you can change this setting by
checking the check boxes.
If you check multiple check boxes vertically, a MIDI signal from one input port on the
UW500 is distributed to multiple input ports on the computer. If you check multiple
