Therefore, if you wish to record the sound of an external MIDI tone generator, first you need to record the sound, as well as the guitar sound, to the hard disk. 2. Turn the OUTPUT knob to the ON position to turn on the power to the UW500. Set the OUTPUT knob to the minimum position (just above the ON label). 3. Start recording on the MD recorder, then click the Play button in the Play Control panel of XGworks to start playing back the song. 4. When the song ends, stop the MD recorder. 38

Mastering to an MD
1.
Connect an MD recorder to the UW500’s DIGITAL OUT jack.
Before making connections, be sure to turn off the power to the UW500.

TAL OUT jack. Therefore, if you wish to record the sound of an external
MIDI tone generator, first you need to record the sound, as well as the gui-
tar sound, to the hard disk.
2.

UW500.
Set the OUTPUT knob to the minimum position (just above the ON label).
3.
Start recording on the MD recorder, then click the Play button in the Play
Control panel of XGworks to start playing back the song.
4.
When the song ends, stop the MD recorder.
