M-302 User's Guide The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 15 Profile: Wireless Setting: Select a Channel LABEL DESCRIPTION Wireless Settings Wireless Mode Channel Back Next Exit When configuring for an Ad-Hoc network 802.11b mode is used. Select a channel number from the drop-down list box. To associate to an Ad-Hoc network, you must use the same channel as the peer computer. Click Back to return to the Add New Profile screen. Click Next to confirm your selection and advance to the Encryption Type screen. Click Exit to discard changes and return to the Add New Profile screen. 3 If you selected Infrastructure network type in the first screen, select WEP, WPA, WPAPSK or 802.1x from the drop-down list box to enable data encryption. If you selected Ad-Hoc network type in the first screen, you can only use WEP encryption method. Otherwise, select DISABLE to allow the M-302 to communicate with the access points or other peer wireless computers without any data encryption and skip to step 5.
