Chapter 6 Broadband Figure 21 Network Setting > Broadband > Add New WAN Interface/Edit (ADSL/VDSL over PTM Bridge Mode) The following table describes the fields in this screen. Table 9 Network Setting > Broadband > Add New WAN Interface/Edit (ADSL/VDSL over PTM Bridge Mode) LABEL General Active Name Type Mode VLAN Active 802.1p DESCRIPTION Select this to enable the interface. Enter a service name of the connection. Select ADSL/VDSL over PTM as the interface that you want to configure. The VMG uses the VDSL technology for data transmission over the DSL port. Select Bridge when your ISP provides you more than one IP address and you want the connected computers to get individual IP address from ISP's DHCP server directly. If you select Bridge, you cannot use routing functions, such as QoS, Firewall, DHCP server and NAT on traffic from the selected LAN port(s). This section is available only when you select ADSL/VDSL over PTM in the Type field. Select Enable to enable VLAN on this WAN interface. IEEE 802.1p defines up to 8 separate traffic types by inserting a tag into a MAC-layer frame that contains bits to define class of service. 802.1q OK Cancel Select the IEEE 802.1p priority level (from 0 to 7) to add to traffic through this connection. The greater the number, the higher the priority level. Type the VLAN ID number (from 0 to 4094) for traffic through this connection. Click OK to save your changes. Click Cancel to exit this screen without saving. If you select ADSL over ATM as the interface type, the following screen appears. VMG3925-B10B User's Guide 68
