Table 11 Network Setting > Broadband > 3G Backup LABEL DESCRIPTION General 3G Backup Select Enable to have the VMG use the 3G connection as your WAN or a backup when the wired WAN connection fails. Ping Check Select Enable if you want the VMG to ping check the connection status of your WAN. You can configure the frequency of the ping check and number of consecutive failures before triggering 3G backup. Check Cycle Enter the frequency of the ping check in this field. Consecutive PING Fail Enter how many consecutive failures are required before 3G backup is triggered. Ping Default Gateway Select this to have the VMG ping the WAN interface's default gateway IP address. Ping the Host Select this to have the VMG ping the particular host name or IP address you typed in this field. 3G Connection Settings Card description This field displays the manufacturer and model name of your 3G card if you inserted one in the VMG.
