Have the system inspected and repaired. \' How To Check Power Steering Fluid When the engine compartment is cool, unscrew the cap and wipethe dipstick with aclean rag. Replace the cap and completely tightenit. Then remove the cap again and look at thefluid level on the dipstick. The level should be at theFULL COLD mark. Add enough fluid to bring the level up to the mark. When the engine compartment is hot, the level should be at the or HOT mark. H When the engine compartment is cool, the level C should be at the or FULL COLD mark. 6-32
