5 . Raise the vehicleby rotating the wheel wrench to the right on the jack. Raise the vehicle enough off the far ground so there's enough room for the spare tire to fit. 4. Remove all the wheel nuts and take off the flat tire. 7. Remove any rust or dirt from thewheel bolts, mounting surfaces and spare wheel. ~ Rust or dirton the wheel, or on the parts to which it is fastened,can make the wheel nuts become looseafter a time. The wheel could come off and cause an accident. When you change a wheel, remove anyrust or dirt from the places where the wheel attaches to the vehicle. In an emergency, you can use a cloth or a paper towel to do this; but be sure to use a scraper or wire brush later, if you needto, to get allthe rust or dirt off. or Never use oil grease onstuds or nuts. If you do, the nuts might comeloose. Your wheel could fall off, causing serious accident. a 8. Place the spare tireon the wheel-mounting surface. 1
