84 CHAPTER 5: ROUTER CONFIGURATION To activate Content Filtering: 1 Select Firewall from the main menu, then select the Content Filter tab. The Content Filter screen displays (Figure 63). Figure 63 Content Filter Screen 2 Make sure the Enable Content Filter check box is checked. 3 Select the Content Filter Server that you require from the drop-down list. If you select custom entry, enter the server IP address in the text box. 4 Select the Server Timeout value in milliseconds. The default is 3000 milliseconds (3 seconds). 5 Select Allow or Deny for each displayed category, as required. Click Apply to save the settings. SPI Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) inspects, and if required blocks packets at the application layer. SPI also maintains TCP and UDP session information, including timeouts and the number of active sessions, and provides the ability to detect and prevent certain types of network attacks such as DoS attacks. Denial of Service (DoS) attacks are aimed at devices and networks with a connection to the Internet.
