94 C H A P T E R T E N To erase messages all at once 1 Press Erase. The screen prompts you to choose what kind of messages you want to erase. ERASE ALL VOICE? SELECT { } & SET 2 Press or to select erasing all voice messages (ALL VOICE), all document messages (ALL DOC.), or all messages-both voice and fax-(ALL MSG). 3 Press Set. 4 Press 1 to erase. -OR- Press 2 to cancel. Setting the Maximum Time for Incoming Messages Your machine comes set to receive voice messages up to 35 seconds long. You can change this setting to any length from 35 seconds to 60 seconds, in 5-second increments. This setting also applies to Personal Mailbox ICM and Memo. 1 Press Menu, 1, 8, 4. The screen prompts you to select a maximum time. MESSAGE 35 SEC SELECT { } & SET 2 Press or to select the maximum time setting for incoming messages. 3 Press Set when the screen displays your setting. 4 Press Stop to exit. See "Setting the Ring Delay" chap. 5 Setting the Toll Saver When you set the Toll Saver feature, the machine answers after 4 rings if you don't have messages, and after 2 rings if you do have messages. This way, when you call the machine, if it rings 3 times, you know you have no messages, and can hang up, avoiding any call cost.
