TROUBLESHOOTING Problem (4) The P-touch is not working correctly. (5) The machine has "locked up" (i.e., nothing happens when a key is pressed). (6) The half cut is either too deep or not deep enough. Solution ● Reset the P-touch by turning it off, then while holding down d and R, turning the machine back on. ☞ All settings will be reset to their defaults and the entire contents of the memory will be cleared. If it necessary to keep the current settings and stored files, back them up to the computer using the P-touch Backup Manager. ☞ Before installing or removing the tape cassette, be sure that the P-touch has been reset. ● Reset the machine by: - (PT-3600) unplugging the AC adaptor, and leaving it unplugged for about one minute, then and plugging it in again - (PT-9600 only) pressing the reset button in the battery compartment at the bottom of the machine ☞ The text and formats in the display and all text files stored in the memory will be erased. ☞ Before installing or removing the tape cassette, be sure that the P-touch has been reset. ● Follow the procedure on pages 82 to adjust how deep laminated tape is cut. 91

The P-touch is not working correctly.
Reset the P-touch by turning it off, then
while holding down
