Part 2: MAINTENANCE BJC-6500 2.4.6 How to adjust the head gap Preparation: 1) Reassemble to the level the top cover is to be put on next. 2) Raise both the right and left adjustable bushings supporting the carriage shaft as shown by arrow 1, and temporarily fix the bushings in that position using the fixing screws. 3) Remove the right and left shaft clips from the carriage shaft. 4) Set the paper thickness selector to the lowest position (thick paper position) Ensure that the gap gauges are clean and not deformed. Also ensure that CAUTION the platen is clean.
