Preparations This chapter describes basic operations, such as navigating the menus, and first time settings to help you learn more about your camcorder. LCD Backlight When recording in bright places it may be difficult to use the LCD screen. Turn on the LCD backlight to make it brighter. First Time Settings Setting the Date and Time You will need to set the date and time of the camcorder before you can start using it. The [Date/Time] screen will appear automatically when the camcorder's clock is not set. Using a Memory Card Memory Cards Compatible for Use with the Camcorder You can use commercially available Secure Digital (SD) cards with this camcorder.
