126 3 Re-aim the camera to compose the shot as desired and shoot. To Release the AF Lock: Press the MF button. When [Servo AF] (p. 124) is set to [On], AF lock cannot be used. z In mode, you cannot enable AF lock using the method on p. 125. Instead, you can use AF lock by registering to [Set Shortcut button] (p. 151). z The AF frame does not appear in the mode, so be sure to point the camera at the subject on which you want to focus. z When shooting with focus lock or AF lock using the LCD monitor, you can simplify shooting by setting [AF Frame] to [FlexiZone] or [Center] (p. 118) so that only one AF frame is active. z The AF lock is convenient because you can let go of the shutter button to compose the image. Moreover, the AF lock is still effective after the picture is taken, allowing you to capture a second image with the same focus. z When you shoot a subject through glass, try to shoot as close to the glass as possible to reduce the chances of light reflecting back off the glass.
