It is no longer necessary with the high levels of reliability that disk drives today have. Setting the remirror block size to larger values can reduce the time necessary to re-synchronize a NetWare controller duplexed volume but at the expense of additional memory buffers. The total amount of memory used for the remirror requests is the product of the values for remirror block size and concurrent remirror requests.
