Section 3 - Configuration Viewing Your DCS-3420 After all the router settings have been entered correctly, a PC user inside or outside your network will have access to the camera through the Internet Explorer Web browser. To access the camera from the Internet, type the IP Address of the router given to you by your ISP, followed by a colon, and the port number that you gave your camera (e.g., http://70.42.15.9:83). It is not necessary to enter the colon and port number if you are using the default Web server port 80. To access from a computer on your local (home) network, simply enter the local IP Address of the Camera followed by a colon and the port number (e.g., http://192.168.0.120:83). If you are following this manual in the order it is presented, you should now have an operating DCS-3420 Internet Camera configured with the Installer program. You also have installed the IP surveillance software from the CD. This section of the manual will cover how to use the Internet Camera in two methods: • Using the DCS-3420 with an Internet browser and accessing the screens to control and monitor the camera. • Using IP surveillance software with the DCS-3420. Section 3 - Configuration
After all the router settings have been entered correctly, a PC user inside or outside your network will have access to
the camera through the Internet Explorer Web browser. To access the camera from the Internet, type the IP Address
of the router given to you by your ISP, followed by a colon, and the port number that you gave your camera (e.g.,
http://70.42.15.9:83). It is not necessary to enter the colon and port number if you are using the default Web server
