Close the display and turn the computer over. 3. Remove the bottom of the base assembly (see Removing the Bottom of the Base Assembly). 4. Remove the hinge covers (see Removing the Hinge Covers). 5. Remove the palm rest assembly (Removing the Palm Rest Assembly). 6. Remove the orange modem flex-cable by pushing the tabs forward and removing the cable. 7. Remove the black RJ11 modem cable from the modem. 8. Remove the M2 x 3-mm screw from the modem. 9. Insert the black RJ11 modem cable into the space provided on the base assembly. 3. Replace the M2 x 3-mm screw to secure the modem to the I/O daughter card. 4. Connect the black RJ11 modem cable to the modem. 5. Connect the orange modem flex-cable to the I/O daughter card. 6. Replace the palm rest assembly (Replacing the Palm Rest Assembly).

Close the display and turn the computer over.
3.

8.

9.
Remove the modem.

Place the modem into the base assembly.
2.
Insert the black RJ11 modem cable into the space provided on the base assembly.

Replace the M2 x 3-mm screw to secure the modem to the I/O daughter card.

Connect the black RJ11 modem cable to the modem.

Connect the orange modem flex-cable to the I/O daughter card.
