Problem/Error Message Solution Display text is too light to read • Turn on backlight. See Using the Backlight. • Adjust the display contrast. See Adjusting the Display Contrast. Too many lines Too many lines for this tape width. • Reduce the number of text lines. • Insert a wider tape cassette. Barcode not allowed • Replace the tape cassette. Barcodes can only be printed on 19 mm and 24 mm tape. • Change the tape width. Printing Self-Lam label not allowed • Replace the tape cassette. Self-Lam labels can only be printed on 24 mm Self-Laminated • Change the tape width. tape. Print error... The tape is jammed. • Open the tape cassette lid and check that the tape is not jammed. • Pull a small amount of tape from the cassette to make sure the tape moves freely. No response when pressing keys One of the keys may be jammed. • Press each key to determine which key is jammed. • Press the jammed key firmly until it returns to its normal position.
