7 Advanced Operation Using Internal Recalibration To resize area markers: 1. Use the mouse controller to position the mouse pointer over an area edge or corner. The pointer arrow changes to a "pointing hand." 2. Press E while using the mouse controller to adjust the size of the area marker as desired. Using Internal Recalibration Your Camera has an internal calibration feature that automatically adjusts the camera electronics as needed to maintain a high quality image even when the camera senses a significant change in either internal temperature or temperature at the target object. During an internal calibration, you may hear a faint "double click" sound from the camera and see the word "Calibrating" appear on the display screen. The image is frozen for approximately 1-2 seconds during the calibration process. You may also want to manually trigger an internal calibration to adjust for changing environmental conditions, for example, you move from an extremely cold environment to a hot environment (see Programming Function Buttons in Chapter 2). 7-7
