Closed defect summary Solution Telnet banner and switchname are not consistent after a new switchname is defined without doing multiple hafailover commands. Can also occur after a standby CP is replaced where the new CP hosts file does not get synchronized with active CP without two hafailover commands. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 Workaround prior to upgrade: Use the hostname xyz command when a switchname xyz is used. This issue does not occur with SSH as it does not use the banner. In a rare occurrence, HA synchronization is lost after a switch with trunk ports panics and manual reboot is needed to recover, due to race condition with trunk ports dropping Exchange Fabric Parameter (EFP) response.
