Closed defect summary Solution Switch stuck in 'merge in progress' even though there's no transaction. FCoE Login management operations cannot be performed, unless the switch is disabled, until then FCoE Fabric Merge is struck. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 Workaround prior to upgrade: To come out of the deadlock: 1. Break the fabric by bringing down the ISL. Both switches will merge and generation number will be rectified (made consistent) with configuration. 2. Bring the ISL back up and merge will go through. Or 1. Issue aswitchdisable command on non-lowest domain switch (without touching other switches or ISL) . 2. Issue a fcoelogincfg -disable command. 3. Issue a switchenable command. 4. Issue a fcoelogincfg -enable command and create required login groups. Resources are incorrectly shown to be available for Top Talker fabmode when the max are already used in other FIDs. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 Workaround prior to upgrade: Execute the perfresourceshow --fabmodeRes command on all logical partitions.
