Introduction Media & Ink Solutions Page Format Setting Page Size in the Front Panel Front Panel Image Appearance Printer Options Other Print Management Index Printer Configuration Postscript Encoding Your printer provides a manual method of selecting the type of file encoding for PostScript files. Normally you should never need to change the default Automatic encoding which detects the type of file encoding when the printer receives the file. There are however rare cases caused by combinations of applications and third party drives that produce PostScript files that the printer cannot automatically detect what type of encoding has been used. Whenever this happens the printer will display a error message on the front panel. To print the file you must first check what type of encoding has been selected with your driver and then make the corresponding selection with the Set-Up menu PS settings option. In addition to Automatic encoding two other encoding types are available: ASCII and Binary.
