Removal and Replacement Procedures Hot-Plug Fans IMPORTANT: You can use the Integrated Administrator to identify a failed hot-plug fan. Refer to the HP ProLiant BL e-Class Integrated Administrator User Guide for details. To remove a hot-plug fan: 1. Press the release latch on the fan cage (1). 2. Pull the fan cage out of the enclosure until it locks in the open position (2). Figure 2-2: Extending the fan cage 3. Identify the failed hot-plug fan by observing the fan status LED on each hot-plug fan. To remove a hot-plug fan:
1.
Press the release latch on the fan cage (1).
2.
Pull the fan cage out of the enclosure until it locks in the open position (2).
