Removal and Replacement Procedures Removing a Server Blade CAUTION: Integrated Administrator security settings are assigned to server blade bays, not to server blades. If server blades change locations within the enclosure, Integrated Administrator settings must also be adjusted to ensure accurate security. Refer to the HP ProLiant BL e-Class Integrated Administrator User Guide for more information on security settings. To remove a server blade from the enclosure: 1. Power down the server blade. See the "Powering Down a Server Blade" section in this chapter. 2. Press the release latch (1). 3. Pull down the ejector lever (2). 4. Remove the server blade from the enclosure (3). IMPORTANT: The server serial number must be re-entered through RBSU after replacing the server blade. Removing a Server Blade
CAUTION:
Integrated Administrator security settings are assigned to server blade bays, not
to server blades. If server blades change locations within the enclosure, Integrated

To remove a server blade from the enclosure:
1.
Power down the server blade. See the “Powering Down a Server Blade” section in this
chapter.
2.
Press the release latch (1).
3.
Pull down the ejector lever (2).
4.
Remove the server blade from the enclosure (3).
