Removal and Replacement Procedures 4. Install the heatsink (1). CAUTION: Before closing the heatsink retaining clip, be sure the processor socket locking lever is closed. Do not force the lever closed; it should close without resistance. Forcing the lever closed may result in damage to the processor socket, requiring replacement of the system board. 5. Install the heatsink (1).

5.
Close the processor heatsink retaining clips (2).

Processor Power Module

To replace a PPM:
