DC connector/power board Description DC connector/power board Spare part number 599188-001 Before removing the power/battery pass-through board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 35). 5. If your computer has WWAN capability, remove the SIM (see SIM on page 36). 6. Remove the following components: a. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 39) b. Hard drive (see Mass storage devices on page 43) c. Top cover (see Top cover on page 45) Remove the power/battery pass-through board: 1. Disconnect the power cable (1). 2. Remove the 2 Phillips PM2.5×4.0 screws (2) that secure the power/battery pass-through board to the base enclosure. 3. Remove the power/battery pass-through board (3). Disconnect the power cable

2.

Remove the power/battery pass-through board

Reverse this procedure to install the power/battery pass-through board.
