Solid-state drive The M.2 solid-state drive is located under the drive cage. To remove the solid-state drive, use these procedures. For a list of available solid-state drives, see Computer major components on page 4. Before removing the solid-state drive, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 18). 2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 19). 3. Remove the optical drive (see Optical drive on page 23). 4. Remove the drive cage (see Hard drive on page 25). 5. Remove the front bezel (see Front bezel on page 24). Remove the solid-state drive: 1. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screw that secures the drive (1). 2. Pull the drive out of the connector (2). To install the solid-state drive, reverse the removal procedure. Memory modules (DIMMs) To remove the memory modules, use this information and procedures. For a list of available memory modules, see Computer major components on page 4. The memory sockets on the system board are populated with at least one preinstalled memory module. To achieve the maximum memory support, you can populate the system board with up to 64 GB of memory configured in a high-performing dual-channel mode.
