Connect to the devices using the CHAP user name and secret that you configured on the Targets tab. The Microsoft iSCSI Initiator The Microsoft iSCSI initiator contains a number of tabs. This section describes the information that must be provided in order to connect the host to a device on the HP StoreOnce Backup System. It does not provide a comprehensive description of all the tabs; please download the "User Guide" from the Microsoft website for more information. NOTE: The screenshots below may not be correct for your operating system. The iSCSI Initiator on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 operating systems has a slightly different interface. General tab You do not normally need to make any changes on the General tab. The Initiator Node Name is generated automatically, which guarantees that it will be unique on your network. Figure 28 General tab (iSCSI) NOTE: When you use the Web Management Interface to create an additional device for your host, you must provide the iSCSI Initiator Name. This is the Initiator Node Name found on the General tab. Authentication If you wish to use mutual authentication (where target authentication is also required), click Secret on the General tab and enter the appropriate string at the prompt.
