Authentication When the Log On to Target prompt is displayed click on Advanced... Enable CHAP logon information and enter the secret in the Target Secret box. This should be the same string as you entered for the Initiator CHAP Secret on the Devices page of the Web Management Interface. The User Name should match the Initiator CHAP User Name on the Devices page. Figure 33 Advanced settings CHAP If you want to use mutual authentication, which means that the target must also log on to the Initiator, make sure that the Perform mutual authentication box is checked. You must also provide the Target User Name and Secret on the Devices page in the Web Management Interface. Persistent Targets tab The Persistent Targets tab shows the targets that have been configured to restore automatically on reboot. During initial configuration, it is for information only. However, if you want to stop the host automatically connecting to a device, you must select the device on this tab and Remove it. To disconnect the device without rebooting, go back to the Targets tab, select the device, click Details and log off. iSCSI Initiator (optional, VTL only) 39
