About the Answerback Character String
Enable Answerback to send a character string to the host in response to an inquiry
(hexadecimal 05). The string can be 0 to 30 characters long, and possibly longer if
you use wildcards as described in this section. Default is the computer serial
number.
Use the keypad or SIP to enter the character string. If you enter any of the following
control characters, it is sent out. Note that control strings count as one character.
