12. Lift the microprocessor straight up and out of the socket. Important Do not touch the gold contacts on the bottom of the microprocessor. When handling the microprocessor, touch only the sides. a. Note the orientation of the notches 1 on the microprocessor. This is important when installing the microprocessor on the new system board. b.
