Using the Scene Mode Shooting Suited for the Scene Taking Pictures for Food Mode Use this mode when taking pictures of food. 1 Press A in shooting mode to display the shooting-mode selection menu and use the multi selector to select u Food (A 35). • The macro mode (A 33) will turn ON and the zoom will automatically move to the closest possible shooting position. Food 2 Press the multi selector H or I to adjust the color if necessary. • You can adjust the hues to compensate for changes in the subject's color caused by the surrounding lighting. Press H to increase the amount of red, or I to increase the amount of blue. 4 3 Frame the picture. • The camera can focus on objects as close as about 5 cm (2 in.) at the widest zoom position, and as close as about 7 cm (2.8 in.) at the position where G is displayed. • The camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame. Use focus lock to frame the picture on an object not in the center of the frame (A 29). 4 4 Press the shutter-release button to shoot. • Pressing the shutter-release button halfway locks the focus, and pressing the shutter- release button the rest of the way down takes the picture. 1/125 F3.1 • When the camera is unable to focus, the focus area will blink.
