Tutorial-Getting Creative Getting Creative Scene Selection Your Nikon digital camera offers a choice of "scene" modes for common compositions, such as portraits, landscapes, and close-ups, which require special combinations of settings that apply to any scene of the same type. When a scene is selected from the SCENE menu, camera settings are automatically adjusted to produce optimal results for the selected composition, sparing you the necessity of adjusting camera settings one-by-one. Scene selection is only available in and modes (for information on choosing a shooting mode, see "Tutorial: Taking Pictures"; 23).
