Use of surround mode This receiver is provided with 3 kinds of Surround modes. Select a mode by pressing the SURROUND MODE button. When using the remote controller, press the SUR. MODE button. Make your choice of modes depending on the type of music you are listening to. the media used, and your personal preference. The selected surround mode is automatically stored along with the selected source. When the same source is subsequently selected, the stored surround mode will be automatically recalled. Surround Modes DOLBY PRO LOGIC By using video tape and laser discs with the Dolby Surround trade mark. You can decode four channel surround sound. HALL Simulates the atmosphere of a concert hall. Intended for classical music. OFF This is the mode used when you do not wish to use the surround i-node. All input sound is output from the front speakers directly LIVE Reproduces the feeling of a live performance. Parameter selector This chart shows how the display changes when the PARAMETER SELECTOR buttons are pressed. Pressing the PARAMETER CONTROLLER button in each display can change the value and condition of whichever parameter is displayed.
