P2 browser function settings and connection status check P2 browser function settings 1 Configure the settings in the main menu → [NETWORK SETUP] → [NETWORK FUNC] → [HTTP SERVER]. [BROWSE]: Enables the P2 browser function. [BROWSE (+CTRL)]: Enables the HTTP server function, starting and stopping recording at the terminal side, and preset control of time code or user bits. [DISABLE]: Disables the HTTP server function. Network operation status display (mode check function) Push the switch on the camera towards the side twice to check the network operation status in the mode check [FUNCTION] screen. FTP client function setting By connecting the camera to network using wireless LAN (wireless access point connection) or wired LAN, you can transfer clips to a server device on the network. Client settings To transfer clips with the FTP client function, you need to set the connection destination and other settings in advance. 1 Set each item in the main menu → [NETWORK SETUP] → [CLIENT SERVICE]. [FTP SERVER URL]: Sets the name or address of the server to connect to. (Up to 500 characters) [LOGIN USER]: Sets the user ID to connect to. (Up to 31 characters) [LOGIN PASSWORD]: Sets the password to connect to. (Up to 15 characters) The set password cannot be displayed on the unit. The thumbnail screen is displayed. 2 Select [PING] in the main menu → [NETWORK SETUP] → [NETWORK TOOL]. 3 Press the control stick. 4 Perform status check of the connection with the address that has been set. When a connection is confirmed, [PING SUCCESSFUL!] appears. If a connection cannot be established within approximately 30 seconds, [PING FAILED!] appears. The log may indicate the cause of a failure. rr Displaying the connection log (LOG) 1 Select [LOG DISPLAY] in the main menu → [NETWORK SETUP] → [NETWORK TOOL]. 2 Press the control stick. The log appears. 3 After checking the log, press the button. By connecting the camera to network using wireless LAN (wireless access point connection) or wired LAN, you can transfer clips to a server device on
the network.
Client settings

You can check FTP client network connection status as follows.

Checking connection (PING)

Press the <THUMBNAIL> button.
The thumbnail screen is displayed.

Select [PING] in the main menu
[NETWORK SETUP]
[NETWORK TOOL].

Press the control stick.

Perform status check of the connection with the address that has been set.
When a connection is confirmed, [PING SUCCESSFUL!] appears.
If a connection cannot be established within approximately 30 seconds, [PING FAILED!] appears. The log may indicate the cause of a failure.

Displaying the connection log (LOG)

Select [LOG DISPLAY] in the main menu
[NETWORK SETUP]

The log appears.

After checking the log, press the <EXIT> button.
