Inserting the battery Removing the battery While sliding the BATTERY lever, slide the battery to remove it. Push the battery against the battery holder and slide it until it clicks. ≥ Hold the battery with your hand so that it does not fall. ≥ Be sure to set the mode dial to OFF and check that the status indicator is off before removing the battery. ≥ Do not heat or expose to flame. ≥ Do not leave the battery(ies) in an automobile exposed to direct sunlight for a long period of time with doors and windows closed. CAUTION Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer.
